Who we are

Klaktik is an online service that helps turn an idea into a short-video script. It is operated by Sylvain Tremblay, founder, who acts as the person in charge of the protection of personal information.

For any question or request about your personal information, write to info@klaktik.com. We reply within 30 days.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the service, bill for it and protect it.

CategoryAccount

What it isEmail address, password (never readable by us), name and photo if you add them, preferred language. If you sign in with Google, the information Google sends us to open your account.

CategoryWhat you create

What it isThe text you paste into the generator, the scripts produced, your personas (name, type, language, summary, products) and the accounts you follow.

CategoryPersona assistant answers

What it isYour three answers are sent to write the summary. We do not keep them: only the summary you save is kept.

CategoryCredits and payments

What it isYour plan, your balance and the history of your credits. Payments are handled by Stripe: we never see or keep your card number.

CategoryReferrals

What it isYour referral code and the referrals linked to your account.

CategoryTechnical data

What it isIP address and device fingerprint at sign-up, request rate counters, and the hosting provider's logs. They are used to prevent abuse.

What it isThe messages we send you and those you write to us.

Why we use it

We use your information to provide the service you asked for, and for nothing else without telling you.

Create your account and sign you in.
Generate your scripts and write the summary of your personas.
Manage your plan, your credits, your payments and your refunds.
Protect the service: limit abuse, fraud and the mass creation of accounts.
Answer your questions and requests.
Send you messages about your account (confirmation, security, payment). We do not send promotional emails.

We do not sell your information. We do not use your texts to train our own models.

Our providers and transfers outside Quebec

Your information is stored in Montreal, but some providers process it elsewhere, notably in the United States. We send them only what they need.

We take the risks to your privacy into account before sending information outside Quebec, and we choose providers that offer adequate protection.

How long we keep it

We keep your information as long as your account exists, then we destroy it or make it anonymous.

Scripts, personas and followed accounts: until you delete them in the application. Deletion is permanent.
Account: until you ask for deletion. Write to info@klaktik.com: we delete your account and the data attached to it.
Credit and payment history: kept for 7 years, the period for which the law requires accounting records to be kept.
Technical anti-abuse data: 12 months, for fraud prevention.
Backups: daily backups are kept for 7 days; deleted data disappears from them when that period ends.

Your rights

At any time, you can view, correct and have your information deleted. Write to info@klaktik.com: we reply within 30 days.

Access: find out what information we hold about you and receive a copy.
Correction: fix inaccurate information. You can also edit your personas and your profile directly in the application.
Deletion: ask for your account and data to be deleted, or delete your scripts and personas yourself.
Portability: receive your information in a commonly used technological format.
Withdrawing your agreement: withdraw your agreement to a use that depends on it.

If you think we have not respected your rights, you can write to us first. You can also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, Quebec's privacy regulator.

Security, cookies and changes

We protect your information by reasonable means, without being able to guarantee absolute security.

Security: exchanges with the site are encrypted, your password is stored in protected form, and each account sees only its own data. In case of an incident that could cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information.
Cookies and local storage: we use only those needed for your sign-in and your preferences (language, settings). We use no advertising cookies and no audience measurement tools.
Minors: Klaktik is intended for people aged 14 and over.
Changes: if this policy changes significantly, we will notify you before the change takes effect. The date of the latest update appears at the top of the page.
